Day3 - Paro
Visit Drugyel Dzong, the ruined fort, once a strategic defence
against Tibetan invasion. Mount Chomolhari, the sacred summit,
reaches skyward beyond the ruined fort. This can be viewed on
a clear day. On the way back visit a typical Bhutanese farm
house. After lunch visit Ta-Dzong (National Museum) and Kangkhu
Monastery. Overnight at hotel.
Day4 - Paro - Thimphu
Morning excursion to Taktsang Monastery view point. Afternoon
drive to Thimphu. Overnight at hotel.
Day5 - Thimphu - Punakha - Wangdi
Late breakfast and drive to Wangdi in about 2 1/2 hours. Lunch
at Wangdi Guest House. Afternoon visit to Punakha Dzong. Overnight
at Wangdi Guest House.
Day6 - Wangdi - Phubjikha - Wangdi
Excursion to the Phubjikha Valley. Return journey to Wangdi.
Overnight in Wangdi Guest House.
Day7 - Wangdi - Thimphu
Drive to Thimphu. Lunch at hotel. Afternoon visit to an indigenous
hospital and the Memorial Chorten. Overnight at hotel.
Day8 - Thimphu
Morning cultural programme of masked and folk dances. Visit
gold and silversmiths at the other bank of the river. Afternoon
shopping and rest of the time at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day9 - Thimphu - Paro - Delhi
After breakfast transfer to Paro Airport for Delhi flight
via Kathmandu. Assistance on arrival at Delhi Airport and
transfer to hotel. Afternoon free for independent activities
and shopping. Overnight at hotel.
Day10 - Delhi
Morning Old Delhi sightseeing visiting Red Fort, Rajghat,
Shantivan and India Gate. Afternoon free till transfer to
I.G.I. Airport for international connection.
