Day 03: Bangalore/Mysore (145 Km, 03 hours)
Morning leave for Mysore enroute visit at summer palace
of Tipu Sultan (tiger of Mysore). Continue your drive to
Mysore, once the capital and today the second most important
city of Karnataka. Arrive & check in at Hotel, afternoon
visit the most impressive of Mysore_s numerous monuments,
though, is the Maharaja_s Palace built in 1911 at the cost
of 4.2 million Indian Rupees. One of the biggest in India,
it is a harmonious synthesis of the Hindu and Saracenic
styles of architecture. Afterwards visit Chamunda Devi temple
on the hilltop, local elegant & exciting markets, on
Sunday. The whole Maharaja Palace is lightened in the evening
and it gives a great impression of the palace. Return to
Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 04: Mysore/Somnathpur/Mysore
After breakfast drive to Somnathpur to visit 13th century
Shiva Temple built by Hoyasala Kings. Afterwards drive to
Srirangapatnam to visit summer palace and tomb of Tipu Sultan.
Return to Mysore for overnight stay.
Day 05: Mysore/Sravanabelgola/Hassan (150 Km, 04 hours)
Morning leave for Hassan, enroute visit at Sravanabelgola
Jain temple atop of the hill with five hundred steps cut
out of rock lead to the summit and the colossal statue of
Lord Gomateswara, which is 1705 meters high. It is nearly
eighteen hundred years old. Continue your drive to Hassan,
arrive and check in at Hotel. Afternoon drive and visit
Belur temple of Vishnu built in 1117A.D. by the Hoyasala
king Vishnuvardhan. Afterwards visit Helebid Shiva temple
built in 13th century. Both these temples are worth to see
the stone art. Return to Hassan for overnight stay.
Day 06: Hassan/Hospet (350 Km, 07 hours)
Morning leave for Hospet, arrive ad check in at Hotel for
overnight stay.
Day 07: Hospet/Hampi/Hospet (day trip)
After breakfast leave for Hampi, where in lie the ruins
of the famous capital of the Vijayanager empire, once abundant
in wealth, military prowess, aesthetics and culture. The
ruins , spread over an area of nearly 26 sq km, include
temples, pavilions, baths and places. Many of tem are still
in good condition. The Pampapati Swami temple with its many
tiered phramidal tower crests above the others. The Vittala
Temple has 56 pillars, eacha of which produces a different
musical note when tapped. Return to Hotel at Hospet for
overnight stay.
Day 08: Hospet/Pattadakal/Aihole/Badami (By Flight)
Morning leave for Badami, visit ancient temples of Aihole.
Badami and Pattadakal, situated within a few kilometers
of one another. At Aihole, the cradle of Hindu temple architecture,
there are as many as 70 temples of which 30 lie in a single
enclosure. The Durga temple with its pyramidal roof has
some remarkable sculpture and the Jain Meguli temple is
constructed at 630 small stone blocks.
The Jain cave temple hewn out of solid rock of Badami, once
a flourishing capital of the Chalukyas belong to 550 A.D.
The columns and ceiling are so finely executed that it is
difficult to believe that these caves were once dug out.
Arrive & check in at Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 09 - Day 14 : Badami/Goa (190 Km, 05 hours)
After Breakfast check-out and leave for Cochin international
airport for connecting flight/ railway station for onward
Morning leave for Goa, arrive and check in at Hotel till
day 15 to enjoy at sea beach.
Day 15: Goa/Mumbai (By Flight)
Transfer to Goa airport to board flight for Mumbai, arrive
& day free for personal activities. Late evening transfer
to Mumbai International airport to board flight back to
your country.
